IRB Intro Post #2: The Boys in the Boat

     I don't have too much context going into The Boys in the Boat, by Daniel James Brown, but my Pop has recommended it to me, having really enjoyed it. It takes place during a similar time period as Band of Brothers, except for being pre-war, but that's about where the similarities end. The subtitle is 'Nine Americans and Their Epic Quest for Gold at the 1936 Berlin Olympics,' so I assume that while politics and the threat of war may take place, it won't be the focus. I"m looking forward to reading it, though!
